What we collect and store

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

• Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
• Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
• Billing details: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate taxes before you place an order, and deliver your order (should we offer food delivery in the future).

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site..

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

• Send you information about your order
• Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
• Process payments and prevent fraud (Only Squareup.com receives this information to process your payment. See more about Squareup.com below.)
• Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
• Improve our store offerings
• Send you marketing messages (if we implement this at a later date, currently we do not send marketing messages).

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for up to 2 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address, billing addresses, and order information.

We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.

Who on our team has access

Only select members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both owner, shop managers, and our web developer can access:

• Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
• Customer information like your name, email address, and billing address.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you. We do not share this information with anyone outside of Jabo's BBQ & Seafood and Squareup.com

What we share with others

We do not share your personal or payment information with anyone other than Square.com who processes payments on our website. All data that passes between Jabo’s BBQ and Seafood and Square is encrypted by Square.com to protect your data during the checkout process. We do not collect your payment information. However, we do collect and store your address and order information for legal and business purposes.

We will never share, sell, trade, giveaway, or barter your personal or payment information with anyone outside of Jabo’s BBQ and Seafood and Square.com. Square.com may have their own policy when it comes to your personal information.

Payments

As stated above we use Square to process customer payments. The following information comes directly from their website regarding payment security. This information is current as of January 2020.

Per Square Website:

From the time the customer uses a credit card or enters their information into our solutions, payment data is encrypted until it reaches Square’s processing environment. Our proprietary tokenization scheme ensures that unencrypted payment data never touches your device or application (Jabo’s website ordering system as it pertains to order.jabosbbq.com or jabosbbq.com).

Security updates and patches are installed on servers and equipment in a timely fashion.

Compliant data storage

Square prohibits storage of card numbers, magnetic-stripe data, and security codes on client devices.

Strong cryptographic controls

Square uses industry-standard cryptographic protocols and message formats (such as SSL/TLS and PGP) when transferring data.
